Structure and Timing for Two-Minute Testimony
- Before Christ (thirty seconds) – Briefly describe your life before encountering Christ, focusing on a key struggle or need that others can relate to.
- Encounter with Christ (thirty seconds) – Share how you met Jesus through someone talking about the ten commandments and how you realized you violated Gods law rendering you guilty before a holy God. And how you felt the need to truly repent- turning away from sin and placing your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. This could be through a significant event, a conversation, or a gradual realization.
- After Christ (thirty seconds) – Highlight how your life changed after accepting Christ. Focus on one or two specific areas of transformation.
- Call to Action (thirty seconds) – End with a question or statement that invites reflection or further conversation, like "Have you ever experienced this kind of peace?" or "I'd love to share more, if you're interested."
Who Is It Meant to Reach
- Non-Christians who are curious but not ready for deep theological discussions
- Strangers or acquaintances you meet casually, like on public transport, in line at a store, or during a short break at work
- Social media audiences, where short, impactful videos are more likely to be watched in full
Practical Tips for Sharing Your Testimony
Keep it Simple – Don't overcomplicate it. Just be real.
Know Your Audience – Adjust how you share based on who's listening.
Be Honest & Authentic – People connect with real struggles and genuine faith.
Point to Christ – Make Jesus the center, not just your experiences.
Be Ready Anytime – You never know when someone will need to hear your story.
